Dr Robert Hanner graduated in Science at the University of Melbourne before completing his medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 1984.
Dr Hanner practices medicine based on the integration of conventional medicine and evidence based natural therapies. He is particularly interested in determining the causes of illness which involves not only detailed history taking and physical examination but also the judicious use of investigations to arrive at a diagnosis and thereby an individualised plan for treatment, management and recovery. Every step of the way his patients are involved in the decision making process.
In the past he has lectured for the Australasian College for Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and in 2005 he was invited, for a week, to deliver a series of lectures on intravenous therapies (nutritional, antioxidant and chelation) and provide ancillary advice to doctors at the Clifford Hospital in Guangzhou, China which services the local population as well as international patients with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Medicine and Natural Medicine.
From 2002 to 2008 he was Medical Director of YourHealth Camberwell.
He currently is working in full-time, accredited general practice at YourHealth Brighton where he oversees the intravenous clinic.
